Fervent London quartet Wyldeck have been subtly yet efficaciously paving their way along the live city circuit over the last eighteen months, yet this release feels like a timely and poignant shift for 2016, as they invite us all into their magical realm, vowing 'From now on'. The beautiful 'White Sands' feels sauvage in both composition and sonics and is taken from the band's volume II digital release (their stunning volume I EP was released just before Christmas). Allowing time and focus to create and nourish raw and powerful music should be admired, and this slow-burning song is testament to their fire-filled bellies and closely-honed wisdom and skill. Lead vocalist Cece Wyldeck is both dazzling and eloquently tender, as the track builds powerful foundations on brooding, evocative lyrics. This track feels truly special, in impact and narrative alike and is in many regards just the beginning for the band. Wyldeck are finally ready to stir your soul; let them. -LB
